Account - Account

Your host has requested the IT team to create a temporary guest UCA account which is assigned to you and whose credentials have been communicated to you by email.

You will be assigned to an office with a dedicated computer at your disposal. You will be able to connect using these credentials.

Votre hôte a demandé à l'équipe informatique la création d'un compte invité temporaire UCA qui vous est attribué et dont les identifiants vous ont été communiqués par mail.

Vous serez installé dans un bureau prévu à cet effet avec un poste informatique à votre disposition. Vous pourrez vous connecter avec ces identifiants.

Upon your arrival at ISIMA, you must have a valid UCA account

Depending on availability, you will have access to a workstation or a virtual machine. If it is a Windows machine, you will log in with your UCA account; if it is a Linux machine, you will use a local account provided to you upon arrival.

You will also have access to the Turing (Linux) and TSE1 (Windows) pedagogical servers

Depending on your needs and at the discretion of your internship supervisor, you may need access to the HPC resources.

In these pandemic times and to better prepare for potential lockdowns, it is important to familiarize yourself with remote access to machines and resources.

It is also possible to borrow a computer from the school if needed (subject to conditions).

For any requests or incidents, do not hesitate to contact the ISIMA/LIMOS CRI service via the ticket manager (https://support.isima.fr )

Useful commands for dual-boot Linux/Windows machines in F205✯

By default, dual-boot machines boot into Linux. From Linux, if you wish to restart the machine into Windows, run the following command in a Windows terminal. From Windows, if you wish to restart the machine into Linux, simply restart the machine.

Caution: Several minutes may be required before you can reconnect to the machine after an OS change.

To access the Wifi (Eduroam), connect to the Eduroam network using your UCA account.
