Installing the OpenVPN client on smartphones✯

Due to the variety of OS versions for smartphones, we will not provide detailed documentation.

Here are the classic download links for the OpenVPN client:

Some smartphones/browsers may not allow you to send your .ovpn file directly to your OpenVPN application. There are several ways to work around this issue, including:

  • Send the .ovpn file to yourself via email, and you should be able to open it in conjunction with the OpenVPN application.
  • On iTunes, you can select your iPhone, go to the OpenVPN application, and perform a "drag and drop" of your .ovpn file into the application to inject the configuration file.

In all cases, follow the documentation of the application you are using.
