Presentation of ISIMA/LIMOS Resource Access

The ISIMA/LIMOS computer network is secured and accessible through different virtual networks (VLANs).

Network access is differentiated for faculty computers, student computers, and some access is open for external individuals.

Therefore, if you want to access classroom computers, servers, or virtual machines from outside, the most efficient method is to use the available VPNs.

Once the VPN connection is established, you will need to use one of the following protocols to access the desired machine:

  • Command-line access: SSH
  • Graphical remote control access: RDP

Finally, many classroom computers, servers, and virtual machines are accessible without VPN via Guacamole
