Presentation of ISIMA/LIMOS Resource Access

The ISIMA/LIMOS computer network is secured and accessible through different virtual networks (VLANs).

Network access is differentiated for faculty workstations, student workstations, and some access is open for external individuals.

Therefore, if you want to access workstations, servers, or virtual machines from outside the ISIMA/LIMOS network, the most efficient method is to use the available VPNs.

Once the VPN connection is established, you will need to use one of the following protocols to access the desired machine:

  • Command-line access: SSH
  • Graphical remote control access: RDP

Finally, many workstations, servers, and virtual machines are accessible without VPN via Guacamole
