Access Methods✯

Access to ISIMA/LIMOS resources is granted via multiple secure methods:

SSH SSH 22 Secure Shell for command-line access
RDP RDP 3389 Remote Desktop Protocol for graphical sessions
Guacamole HTTP/HTTPS 80/443 Web-based remote desktop gateway
X2GO SSH 22 Fast remote desktop for Linux/Windows
Teams HTTPS 443 Microsoft Teams for collaboration
Zoom HTTPS 443 Video conferencing platform

Authentication✯

ISIMA/LIMOS employs MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) for enhanced security. Supported methods include:

  • Kerberos (for internal services)
  • OpenVPN (for VPN access)
  • GitLab (for repository management)
  • Eduroam (for Wi-Fi access)

Note

All users must enable MFA before accessing restricted services.

ISIMA/LIMOS provides centralized mail services via:

  • Zimbra (Webmail interface)
  • Open-Xchange (Groupware solution)
  • INP Mail (Institutional email)

VPN & Remote Access✯

To connect to ISIMA/LIMOS internal network:

  1. Install OpenVPN client from https://openvpn.net
  2. Download ISIMA/LIMOS VPN configuration:
  3. VPN Config (OpenVPN)
  4. Connect using your Kerberos credentials.

Security

Always use MFA when accessing internal resources via VPN.

High-Performance Computing (HPC)✯

ISIMA/LIMOS users can leverage UCA HPC resources:

  • Login Node: hpc.univ-bpclermont.fr
  • Job Submission: Use SLURM scheduler
  • Storage: /home, /scratch, and /work spaces
