ISIMA/LIMOS Account✯

The ISIMA/LIMOS allows for the creation of local accounts for users who do not have a UCA account. This ISIMA/LIMOS account provides access to ISIMA/LIMOS resources only.

UCA resources such as the ENT, WiFi (Eduroam), and printers are not accessible with an ISIMA/LIMOS account

Historically, ISIMA/LIMOS accounts are

  • prefixed with iia_
  • followed by the first 2 letters of the first name
  • followed by the first 8 letters of the last name

Who can have an ISIMA/LIMOS account✯

  • Volunteer teachers
  • Substitute teachers called in at short notice
  • Researchers collaborating on LIMOS research

Creating an ISIMA/LIMOS account✯

The account creation request must always come from a permanent ISIMA/LIMOS member.

Via my.isima.fr (recommended/quick)✯

  • Each teacher/researcher has access to an account creation request form at https://my.isima.fr/cri/ldap/user/choose

    Please use the UCA and ISIMA/LIMOS user search engine before submitting a creation request to avoid duplicates

    • To create an ISIMA/LIMOS account, the following information is required:
      • last name
      • first name
      • email
      • description (used to indicate the account creation context and the origin of the user to be created)
      • expiration date
      • groups (which will determine the ISIMA/LIMOS services accessible to the user being created)

  • Each request is then submitted for validation to the ISIMA/LIMOS CRI service.

  • Once validated, the user is created and a password initialization link, along with a summary of the groups they belong to, is automatically sent to the email address provided above.

Via the ticket manager (deprecated)✯

Send an email to your ISIMA contact requesting them to create a ticket on support.isima.fr with the following information:

  • your name, first name, and contact email

  • your needs for the lab session, for example:

  • I need to work from my laptop, use the projector, and have internet access

  • I need to access a machine with the same environment as the student machines
  • ...

The IT service will then create an appropriate account for your needs and communicate it to you by email.

Changing the password of an ISIMA/LIMOS account✯

The password change for an ISIMA/LIMOS account is done via https://my.isima.fr.
