You will then arrive at the mailing list management page.
This page is divided into several sections:
- List members
- Authorized senders allowed to send emails to the list
You can navigate between these two sections by clicking on the corresponding tabs.
List Members✯
Search for a member✯
You can search for a member by typing their name, first name, or email address in the search bar.
Reminder
LIMOS members registered on @listes.limos.fr lists are registered with their @limos.fr address. ISIMA members registered on @listes.isima.fr lists are registered with their @isima.fr address. Others are registered with their @uca.fr (@ext.uca.fr ...) address if they have one. Otherwise, they are registered with their personal email address.
A member may appear in a list because they are a direct member or because they are a member of a child list of the list. This information is visible in the members column:
direct: the member is a direct member of the listby inheritance (list name): the member is a member of a child group of the list
Example
If a person is a member of administratifs@listes.limos.fr, they will be a member of the personnel@listes.limos.fr list by inheritance.
Adding Members✯
Adding Users✯
A mailing list corresponds to a group of users (see: group management). When you want to add someone to a mailing list, you are actually adding a user to a group.
Click the Add Users button.
You can then type the person's name or first name to search the directory and add them to the list.
Press the + button to confirm the addition.
Adding Users or External Emails in Bulk✯
You also have the option to add list members in bulk. To do this, click the Add Users or External Emails in Bulk button.
This feature allows you to add multiple members at once by pasting a list of email addresses. It also allows you to add email addresses external to the directory (e.g., gmail, yahoo, etc.).
Simply paste one email address per line and click the Add button.
The system will analyze the addresses you have added and check if any of the addresses you provided belong to people in the directory. If so, it will add the users to the list. Otherwise, it will add the external email addresses to the list.
Removing a Member✯
Simply click the X button next to the person's name to remove them from the list.
If the button is "grayed out", it means the person is a member of the list by inheritance. You cannot remove them directly from the list. You must remove them from the child group.
Authorized Senders✯
To view and manage authorized senders allowed to send emails to the list, click the Senders tab.
Search for a Sender✯
In the same way as for members, you can search for a sender by typing their name, first name, or email address in the search bar.
Sending Addresses
Unlike members, senders are allowed to send emails from any of their associated @isima.fr, @limos.fr, @uca.fr, @ext.uca.fr... addresses to the mailing list. If the added user does not have an @isima/limos/uca email address, they are assumed to have a personal email address with which they can write to the list.
Adding Senders✯
By default, list members are allowed to send emails to the list. You can add additional senders.
Adding Users as Senders✯
To add a sender, click the Add Users as Sender button.
In the same way as for members, you can search for a user in the directory and add them to the list by typing their name, first name, or email address.
Adding Groups as Senders✯
You have the option to allow an entire group of people (or mailing list) to send emails to the list. To do this, click the Add One or More Groups as Sender button.
This allows you, for example, to authorize all LIMOS researchers, all ISIMA BIATSS staff, or all members of a research axis or theme to send emails to the list.
To do this, simply search for the group in the search field and add it to the list.
Removing a Sender✯
To remove a sender from the list, click the X button next to their name. If the button is "grayed out", it means the sender is authorized to send emails to the list by inheritance. You cannot remove them directly from the list. You must remove them from the child group.
You can also remove a group from the list by clicking the X button next to the group name.
