Welcome for Young Students

It is possible for a young person wishing to do a discovery internship to carry out their internship within the ISIMA (engineering school in computer science) or the LIMOS (computer science laboratory) with the ISIMA/LIMOS IT service.

This request will be accepted based on the team members' availability to supervise the student, as certain periods may be busier than others.

Regulations - Agreements

An agreement is mandatory for a student to carry out a discovery internship within ISIMA/LIMOS. It must be completed by the educational establishment before the internship and signed by both the establishment and ISIMA or LIMOS.

To send the agreements, please email them to one of the following addresses:

Requesting an Internship - Cover Letter

To properly prepare for the internship, it is important that the student has some general ideas about the different careers in computer science.

You can see below the list of computer science careers practiced within ISIMA/LIMOS.

You must send the IT service, along with the internship request, a cover letter of at least ten lines. The request and the letter must be sent to the IT service at least two weeks before the internship.

The cover letter must indicate:

  • why the student is interested in the field of computer science
  • which types of careers might particularly interest them (see list below)
  • what knowledge and skills (environment, languages, etc.) the student already has

This letter must be sent to vincent.mazenod@limos.fr

To know

This letter is not discriminatory. Students discovering the field as well as those with a certain level will be accepted in the same way. The goal is mainly to better understand the student's abilities and interests to best prepare for their arrival.

And the resume?

No resume is required.
